  2. Onboarding & Training - Dive into current CSR workflows, identify training needs, and begin personalized skill development. 
  3. Coaching - Techniques around informal coaching, formal coaching, 1-1 Meetings, Appreciation, Performance Reviews, Difficult Conversations
  4. Team Coaching and Communication Continued -  Talking to Your Leadership - expressing feedback, expressing needs, dialogue when given department feedback
  5. Cycle of Service – Part 1 -Cycle of Service Definition and Impact
  6. Cycle of Service – Part 2 -Evaluating Your Own Systems
  7. CSR Team Meeting – Cycle of Service - Apply the full Cycle of Service as a team, identifying opportunities for improvement and celebrating strengths. 
  8. Compassion Fatigue/Burnout - Understanding the impact of the industry
  9. Goal Setting & Team Meetings - Establish actionable goals moving forward and learn how to hold productive, engaging CSR team meetings.

Carol Hurst

Carol Hurst is a driving force in the veterinary field, drawing from her experiences as an LVT and over a decade in practice leadership. Her passion lies in empowering others, especially those in management roles, by sharing the wealth of knowledge she’s accumulated over the years. From leadership articles, to podcast guest to community involvement as President of a local manager group, Carol’s contributions reflect her deep commitment to advancing veterinary practice leadership. She has influenced countless professionals, offering practical strategies to navigate the complexities of veterinary management. Her special interests are training on proven techniques for the CSR Role, Team Culture, Communication, Strategic Planning and Marketing Techniques. 

Her dedication to education and mentorship has been at the core of her work, whether teaching with Patterson University, facilitating educational workshops or speaking at industry events. Now fully immersed in her role at Encore Vet Group, Carol continues to help others create positive, impactful change within their practices.
